*OAUSTECH VC Southwest Outstanding Vice-Chancellor Award

 


In a grand ceremony held at the Ondo State Property Corporation Event Centre, Ijapo, Akure, the capital of Ondo State, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa, the Vice-Chancellor of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa, was honoured with the prestigious Southwest Outstanding Vice-Chancellor Award by Southwest Heralds Magazine.


The award ceremony, which brought together eminent Nigerians who have made significant impacts in their various fields, recognized Prof. Ologunorisa's exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication to academic excellence. His commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, research, and community engagement at OAUSTECH has earned him this well-deserved recognition.


Under his leadership, OAUSTECH has witnessed remarkable growth, with the number of Facilities expanding from three to seven: Science, Agriculture, Engineering, Management Science, Nursing and Allied Health Science, Earth Science, and ICT.  Enrollment figures have also seen a significant surge, rising from 400 in the 2020/2021 academic session to 800 in the 2021/2022 academic session, 1600 in the 2023/2024 academic session, and over 3000 in the 2024/2025 academic session.


Furthermore, Prof. Ologunorisa's tenure has seen the introduction of 12 additional new programs, further diversifying the university's academic offerings. The award is a testament to Prof. Ologunorisa's outstanding contributions to the academic community, and his passion for staff welfare and student development.


The ceremony was a grand affair, with notable dignitaries, academics, and professionals in attendance. Prof. Ologunorisa's achievement is a reflection of his tireless efforts to elevate OAUSTECH to new heights, and his dedication to the pursuit of academic excellence.
